Blocking You

I’ve recently developed a new perspective on my relationship with dreams and disappointment. As an entrepreneur, I’ve invented an assessment, written a book, and founded a coaching school. Each of these efforts was launched with optimism and expectations. Frankly, none of them has reached the levels of success I hoped for.
My aspirations have pushed me to keep taking risks, seeking new avenues to reach my self-imposed goals. It’s left me with a “not good enough” feeling, which is sad because I love what I do. It’s time for me to ditch my dissatisfaction and be deeply content with things, exactly as they are.
I came to this realization several weeks ago. Since then, things have changed. First, I’m more relaxed. I find it much easier to cross the “shoulds” off my list. Previously, I lamented that I did not have enough videos on my YouTube channel or failed to post regularly on social media. Now, I do it if I want to.
Second, my blood pressure has gone down to a normal, healthy range. I mean this literally. Since April, I’ve gone through a series of health assessments because of a family history of heart disease. Since I stopped wanting more than exactly what I have, my blood pressure is normal.
Finally, and the most pressing reason I wanted to share this with you, is the flood of unexpected opportunities. I’ve gotten new clients, contract leads, and improved sales. My dissatisfied energy was a door, blocking the flow of abundance.
