Abundance or Scarcity

Do you allow yourself time to rest and recover after a long-haul effort? Can you take a break to do some self-care? And, on a regular and daily basis do you prioritize pleasure? I suspect you are saying no to one or more of these questions.

In a world where the message, hard work pays off, permeates our lives, it’s difficult to relish the rest you want and deserve. The resistance to downtime shows up in several ways. Perhaps you:

  • Interpret rest as a lost opportunity.
  • Worry all your drive will evaporate if you take a break.
  • Feel you are being selfish when you prioritize your needs.

The one thing all these perspectives share is scarcity. Plenty of support exists for this fear-based way of viewing the world. It’s easy to get caught up in thinking you are missing out, getting behind, or just plain lazy. If you don’t keep running at top speed, you are simply not good enough.

All of this negativity becomes heavy. Your energy depletes as you push harder and harder. So how do you flip this script? Perhaps you need to replace the scarcity perspective with abundance. This opens the door to a positive belief system. You can:

  • Stop pushing and start pulling, your energy is attracting all the good things you want and deserve.
  • Manifest outcomes that are even greater than you imagined.
  • Experience comfort and joy as success flows in your direction.

As you read this today, you might think I’m naive but I’m not. After twenty-five years of running my own business, the one thing that has kept me both healthy and viable is my deep belief that there is more than enough for everyone. I don’t need to hide my ideas or compete aggressively. I can be humble and generous. I carve out time for self-care and pleasure.

I invite you to do the same. Spend the rest of your day pulling in everything you want and deserve. Consider the possibility that you can manifest abundant opportunities with little effort. Worry and fear leave you vibrating at a very low level. When you take care of yourself, you maximize your capacity and potential.
